How to get on Brac & Bol


Presence of the airport on the island and good see connection with Split makes your arrival on Brac easy. Depending of planned way of your voyage, consider one of the following options:

 


Travel to Brac by car:

If you are coming from North, you have 380km long path from Zagreb to Split:
Zagreb – Karlovac – Plitvice – Knin – Sinj – Split.

If you are coming from direction of Rijeka, you will take following path to Split:
Rijeka – Zadar – Sibenik – Split (this road is leading to Dubrovnik on the south of Croatia).

When you reach Split, take a ferry to Supetar on the island Brac (it sails something about 50 minutes). From Supetar, you have to go another 39 km by car to Bol.

If you are coming from south of Croatia, take a ferry from Makarska to Sumartin on the island Brac. From Sumartin you have 29 km to go by car to reach Bol.


If you travel to Bol by ship:

Fast coastal line connects Rijeka, Split, Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik.
From Split you can take a ferry to Supetar on island Brac. From Supetar you can take a bus or taxi or you can go by car to Bol (it is 39 km long way).
You can also reach Bol directly from Split, traveling by catamaran or hydrofoil boat (it sails something about 50 minutes).
Split is also well connected with all main Italian ports.


If you travel to Brac by bus:

Split is well connected by bus with all bigger European cities, and the bus station in Split is near the port. So, if you reach Split by bus, you can easily continue your journey by ferry, catamaran or hydrofoil boat.

Traveling to Bol by plane:

In the summer season you can reach Brac by plane directly. Airport is 15 km far from Bol.
Another option is to go to Resnik, near Split, and than take a ferry, catamaran or hydrofoil boat to Brac. This route is possible during whole year.


If you travel to Bol by train:

If you are arriving by train in Croatia, there is a line from Zagreb to Split. Railway station in Split is near the port, so you can easily continue your voyage to Brac by ferry, catamaran or hydrofoil boat.
